Mission Statement

So what’s this all about? Basically it’s an attempt to answer that question I get every Follow Friday. Who are all these people and why should I be following them? Here in this page I’ll be telling you exactly that, letting you know who these Tweeps are and why they’re worth your time to follow. This is 100% free but if anyone wants to contribute the button is over there.

This account is a half and half. On one hand Phil uses it like a regular account and tweets about his reactions and projects, but it’s also the account for the website he founded Live for Films. Live for Films is a very good movie news site with a decidedly geeky slant. What can you say about a site whose unofficial mascot either The Dude or Kurt Russell from The Thing. I love that he signs off with a V for Vendetta reference and I pray I don’t have the same reaction to Inception.

Saw Inception tonight. My reaction - very disappointed. Review out tomorrow. Existenz meets Only Forward which should be good, but wasn't

Paradise Recovered is an independent movie about a devoutly religiously young woman taking a job in a health food store managed by a confirmed skeptic. It was written by Andie Redwine and directed by Storme Wood. The pair recently made their Kickstarter goal of $7,000 to help take the movie on the road. Here’s a fun quote, “The point on the ideological spectrum where far left bohemians and right wing fundamentalists meet is a health food store.”

Ashley Meyers is a screenwriter in Los Angeles and, there’s no other way to say this, he runs hands down one of the BEST websites about screenwriting Selling Your Screenplay. He tackles and demystifies what can be a very scary process for some people; sending out queries to agents and producers. He covers all the bases. His posts are answers to questions people email him. I’ve had this website on my RSSS feed forever and I’m always reading his posts, even if it’s something I know or have heard a hundred times. If you’re serious about screenwriting this is the website you must check out.
